FACEREKT uses your uploaded image to generate a campaign image. A face photo is personal data. This notice explains the specific processing for this microsite and should be read alongside the main Rekt privacy policy.

What We Process

  • - Your uploaded image or selfie.
  • - The generated FACEREKT image returned by Google Gemini.
  • - Your IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
  • - Any Gemini API key you add in the advanced control, which is stored only in your browser local storage.

Why We Process It

  • - To generate your FACEREKT image.
  • - To let you download, copy, or share the result.
  • - To limit repeated generation requests and protect the service from abuse.
  • - To run the campaign and apply the campaign terms.

Where It Goes

  • - The uploaded image is sent from your browser to the FACEREKT backend hosted on Vercel.
  • - The FACEREKT backend sends the image to Google Gemini API for image generation.
  • - Your IP address is stored in Upstash Redis only for generation-rate limiting.
  • - Generated images are returned to your browser and stored in browser session storage so the result page can display them.

What We Do Not Intentionally Store

  • - FACEREKT does not intentionally save your uploaded selfie or generated image to a Rekt database.
  • - FACEREKT does not create a face profile, faceprint, face-recognition template, or biometric identifier.
  • - FACEREKT does not use your upload to identify you.

Third-Party Retention

  • - Google may retain Gemini API logs for abuse monitoring and service operation under its API terms and logs policy.
  • - For paid Gemini API services, Google says prompts, files, and responses are not used to improve Google products by default.
  • - If Rekt changes providers or API settings, this notice should be reviewed before launch.

Your Choices

  • - Do not upload a face image if you do not want it processed by Google Gemini.
  • - Only upload your own image, or an image you have permission to use.
  • - Do not upload children or anyone under 18.
  • - You can clear the generated result by closing the browser tab or clearing site data.
